Current Tippecanoe County area projects include widening State Road 26 near I-65 and State Road 43 north of I-65, Clarian Arnett Medical Center and St. Elizabeth East. Members work for more than 600 construction, freight, warehouse, bread, dairy, soft drink, concrete and other companies statewide. Locally, these include BJ Marlatt Inc., Derek Byers Trucking, CS Eagle Hauling, Circle City Hauling, Earth Transport, Hi-Tech Trucking, Lafayette Cartage, MS Transport, Mussche Excavating, Myler Trucking, Paddack Brothers, Plina Inc., R&W Contractors and Wildcat Trucking. Educational programs are offered throughout the year and include defensive driving, hazardous materials training, construction safety, CPR and basic first aid. The local also makes its safety training available to employees of the City of Lafayette. Members regularly volunteer for numerous good causes, including Food Finders Food Bank; Habitat for Humanity; Bub’s Benefit for the Ronald McDonald House, an annual golf outing to benefit Riley Children’s Hospital; Dads Against Diabetes; Shop with the Mayor for children’s Christmas gifts and the United Way. The Teamsters also cosponsored a charity golf outing to raise funds for a wheelchair-accessible van for an individual. Established: 1904 Danny L.
